lyrics

We from a land where the...good is ominous
The...hood is prominent
Them yougins gotta chip on they shoulder ready to bang bang
Tensions running high when them bands ain't stretching
Its sounding like a amp when the band soundcheckin
Dont ask about the set time, you coming or not?
She said I'm paranoid cause I watched em circle the block
I know a nigga pulled his gun he was blocking the exit
A 41 year old feelin rejected
By a 21 year old I was courtin my apartment was close
And nobody else knew it was smoke
And getting smoked ain't on my personal goals
I keep it pushing like you working remote
Followers low but it keeps the trail cold
Yall tryna draw attention to a nigga that's drawin
Until they... click draw...now ya family is mourning
You think them threats idle but I know where its goin
They in ya driveway at 5 in the morning I tried to warn em

Vince Staples said he hate July, and I feel em
Tryna make it home safe tonight, God willing
I stay conflicted/Dont wanna see nobody bleed
But my family gotta eat, we been watchin you for weeks
Its a different package on your doorstep every week
They been walking past your house & wave you never even speak
Cause you think your version of poverty is different from this street
When you can't afford to live nowhere that makes you feel elite
And you wanna get these thugs off the street
I agree
Let's start with the ones that mainly target POC
Lets start with the problems on the soil and underneath
And once you dig deep you'll see we from a land where the

Born in Queens I hopped out on a couch
Headed to Tburg after moving around
Relocated to the land of seeing double
Where they worry more about grass and gossip behind your back, subtle
Wasn't the high life but we still had struggles
DWB's-seemed to always get me in trouble
I was a chocolate drop in a sea of milk
Especially on the south west side they treated me like filth
But I skated through the stress it was a grind though
5-0 sliding, the coping mechanism
Made me cop a new mind so
I rose above it chose to disuss it
In my rhyme flows, shows in different time zones
Connecting people through music, by the grace of God
Given talent able to balance & move through it
Lonely minority got used to it
Now I live the fullest life
Using my influence to let my bullets fly
