Free as the color of my skin its love to all my people Free as the feeling and ability to drop the ego Free as the life you live when time is something less than we hold Free as the limits and how far we can go I aint a freedom fighter I'm just seeking brighter days Just hope you heed these bars and catch yourself a lighter case I aint never been cider based or easily swayed Somewhere between Sway not having the answers for Kanye Mixed with Benny & Conway Quick to address your character like cosplay Swear so many people out here searching for prom dates But won't pom pom for they own sake We're here to make the people feel Higher than Brittany Newsome on a flagpole Expose America's contents of its bathrobe From tadpole to adolescent to assholes Depression rabbit holes looking for reasons to get Like a drone above my enemies homes we get Was never sly around my family stone I can't lie Say hi to the neighbors I gotta see the world In every city they gon need an FT referral HR on the pearls so get aware You asking if I'm free and I said Free as the color of my skin its love to all my people Free as the feeling and ability to drop the ego Free as the life you live when time is something less than we hold Free as the limits and how far we can go now get em

Aint Love! 02:55
You and I are the same, they couldn't sell us on the oldest myth running I wrote this in a suite at the Carlyle Laying next to a mother's child she couldn't comfort She finds love in all the work shes done And I find love inside the moment I come outta of fog We'd never let it get too involved They'll never understand our bond Stare as they will tryna duplicate the form We was coming round the block & their car wasnt warm And in the moment it's gorgeous as Cadillacs in the 70s But if we'd stayed together one of us would never leave Why stop when you can have the best of everything Why put all of ya stock inside a wedding ring Canary diamonds sing in unison with sun beams You came a long way from white bread with everything I came a long way from pipe dreams & drug fiends Now its thousands on a painting that I'll never see Family outings vs mountains out in Tennessee Let's reassess after our 3rd cup of English tea We'll have our weekends after we can survive the week We'll meet on business trips where they can never see No limitations on how far we can take it And if you've gotta previous engagement you break it Tell me your dreams so we can go and live inside em Endless like riding a Gold Wing across China What works for them dont work for us And it might not seem like much, but that ain't love

Algorithm! 02:43
Follow the flow into the kitchen cupboard As these bars still remain our bread and butter In a era where they selling you a choice Then based on your choice you're presented with a choice You either comply or lose privalege of your voice Tough break Most keep they black mirror awake What you see ain't exactly what you hearing today Moral tax on the brain so we laugh at the pain Our country is a company that never evolved You know the type thatll give a bad apprentice a job But wont make sure the people got the tools to start Landscape so miniature golf Just follow the green & you'll get answers Remember the cost Dont worry gmail might finish ya thoughts So when you bring ya phone to the spot... A process or set of rules to be followed in calculations or other problem solving operations, especially by a computer I'm so glad we got the same addictions Cheers to everybody tryna game the system I asked her where she from she said I'm from the city... It's hard to put a face with the name When ya circle so small & its pics on a plane Or ya thighs at the pool or ya seats at the game Just to find out that we're all the same Poured more champagne what we doing tonight Left ya charger at the crib you ain't doing it right No pics in the room it might be a good night I'm so outta the loop I cant tell if she really for real

Mischievous! 01:32
This town aint big enough for the both of us No umbrellas when it rains put your shoulders up Lying to my fans I'm not the one of the poster Fame is a young man's game I aint slowing up Panic in the streets now I wish I had the burner tucked Keep my eyes on like brunch is being served to us Orders up, Merch keeps the surcharges low I been playing less shows I can't deposit exposure Kemba Walker mindset, loyal to a fault The big pond got these people sleeping on your lawn The trees on fire, the heat starts rising You're breathing in bodies of the people that don passed on Laundering money out a game I never played Provide an avenue for all my people getting paid Conrad Howard just do whatever it takes Cause heaven never cared if you do it for it's sake This town aint big enough for the both of us No umbrellas when it rains put your shoulders up Lying to my fans I'm not the one of the poster Fame is a young man's game I aint slowing up

about

This is the 2nd project from Free Black! "Freedom Summer!" is inspired by The Mississippi Summer Project of 1964 where volunteers from all over the country came to help African-Americans register to vote.

This collection of songs we have been playing live over the past year along with some other ones that we planned on releasing this year paired with a tour. Now that touring is on hold, we wanted you to have these songs anyway in hopes of keeping the energy up throughout the summer & during the pandemic. We hope you enjoy.
